Ian Regan enters his first season as Head Men's Basketball Coach at Southern Maine Community College in 2026 after serving as an assistant coach for the Seawolves during the previous two seasons.

A 2022 graduate of Southern Maine Community College, Regan played three seasons under head coach Matt Richards (2019-22). A two-year team captain, he helped lead the Seawolves to the 2022 United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship - the first team national championship in College history - and a Yankee Small College Conference (YSCC) Championship during the same season.

All three of Regan's teams qualified for the USCAA National Tournament. He earned First Team All-YSCC honors twice, was named a USCAA All-American in 2022, and received USCAA Academic All-American recognition during both his sophomore and junior seasons.

Following his playing career, Regan joined the SMCC coaching staff as an assistant, helping guide the Seawolves to a YSCC Championship in 2026 before being named the program's head coach. As an alumnus and former team captain, Regan is committed to building upon the strong foundation established by the program, while continuing the values of accountability, player development, and team-first culture that have defined Seawolves Basketball for more than two decades.
